South Bay students and educators head to Sacramento for annual pro-education bus trip
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - Two hundred high school students, teachers, and community leaders in the South Bay headed out Tuesday morning, on their annual trip to Sacramento, to focus on education issues.
The group will meet with state lawmakers, discuss current legislative proposals, and voice their concerns about the state school system
Several people told KTVU that they will raise the issue of more funding for K-12 schools, as well as colleges.
This is the 14th year of the bus trip.
Organizers include Santa Clara County Board President, Dave Cortese.
The buses return Tuesday evening.
