Suspect in Vallejo hotel slaying arrested by US Marshals

Convicted felon Kenneth Ramsey was arrested by US Marshals for allegedly killing Derrick Shields at a Vallejo hotel in March.

A convicted felon was arrested by US Marshals for allegedly killing a man at a Vallejo hotel in March.

Kenneth Ramsey has been charged for the March 16 killing of Derrick Shields.

Shields was found dead at the Vallejo Super Eight motel on Solano Avenue near Interstate 80.

Prosecutors in Solano County filed charges against Ramsey.
