Suspicious man possibly lurking around Petaluma Junior High, police say
PETALUMA, Calif. - Petaluma police received an anonymous tip about a suspicious man who may have been trying to pick up children Thursday near a junior high school in the city.
The man was seen at about 3:10 p.m. calling out to a juvenile near Petaluma Junior High School at 700 Bantam Way.
The person who called police said the man appeared to be trying to get the youth into his car, which was a candy apple red Honda Civic.
Police described the man as 38 to 54 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 210 pounds with a bald head.
The man was wearing a blue shirt and sunglasses. Police said they will increase patrols around the school.
