3-alarm fire reported at Los Altos business on Christmas morning under control

UPDATE

Fire officials from the Santa Clara County Fire Department declared the Los Altos fire under control.

The fire began on El Camino Real just before 6 a.m. near North San Avenue. 

San Antonio Road and Sherwood Avenue will remain closed so that the building can be demolished.

Fire officials will remain on scene out of an abundance of caution. Drivers may be detoured to other routes.

Fire crews responded to a three-alarm fire at a business in Los Altos early Monday morning. 

The fire was reported around 5:40 a.m. on El Camino Real near North San Avenue. 

It was reported around 540 this morning on El Camino Real between North San Antonio Road and Sherwood Avenue. Mountain View and Palo Alto firefighters called to the scene here to help. Community members were asked to steer clear of the area to allow fire crews to work.
