ANTIOCH, Calif. (KTVU) -- Three men suspected of participating in a gunfight in Antioch on Wednesday evening that left two people injured have been arrested, police said.
At 5:11 p.m., Antioch police responded to reports of shots fired with at least one person wounded in the vicinity of J and West Ninth streets. Timothy Crabtree, 22, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, according to police.
Based on witness statements, investigators determined that Crabtree may have returned fire during the shooting. A firearm and casings were recovered at the scene, police said.
Later that night, Michael Johnson, a 24-year-old Antioch resident, was found in a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Both men were taken into custody after being treated for their wounds. Johnson was arrested on an outstanding warrant and Crabtree was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and violating the terms of his probation, according to police.
Witnesses reported seeing a third suspect run into a nearby apartment, where officers found Alvin Crane, a 29-year-old San Pablo resident. Crane was allegedly found to be in possession of a firearm, 21 baggies of cocaine, marijuana and evidence of sales, according to police.
Crane was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and sales as well as several crimes related to being a felon in possession of a gun, according to police. He is being held on $275,000 bail.
