2 dead, 1 injured in Oakland triple shooting

Two people were killed, and a third was injured Friday night in what police are calling a triple shooting in Oakland.

Two people were killed, and a third was injured Friday night in what police are calling a triple shooting in Oakland. 

Police responded to the area of the 5500 block of Telegraph Avenue after receiving a ShotSpotter activation and reports of a shooting. At the scene, they found three people who had been shot. 

Two of the victims died at the scene. The third was taken to an area hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition. 

Police did not provide a name or description of a potential suspect or suspects. It's unclear what led up to the shooting. 

Police are withholding the identities of the victims pending notification of next of kin.
