Two homicides in San Jose in a matter of hours
SAN JOSE (KTVU and wires) -- The San Jose Police Department is investigating two deadly shootings that occurred within hours of each other between Friday night, and early Saturday morning, officers said.
The first shooting occurred 10:20 p.m. Friday, in the 2100 block of Terilyn Avenue, said police.
Officers responded to a report of a man who had been shot, and located a 17-year-old victim on the sidewalk suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
The second shooting occurred 2:24 a.m. Saturday, in the area of South Second and San Carlos streets.
Officers found the victim, suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said the circumstances surrounding each shooting remain unknown, and no arrests has been made.
