Two people reported to have died in train-car collision in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (BCN/KTVU) - Two people are reported to have died in a collision between their car and a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority train today in San Jose, transit officials said.
A northbound train on the Mountain View-Winchester light rail route collided with a car at Lincoln and Auzerais avenues at 12:34 p.m., according to transit officials.
The crash damaged an overhead pole and wires that power the train that will need repair, transit officials said.
A bus bridge is in place between the Convention Center and Fruitdale stations, running on the normal Sunday service at every 30 minutes, transit officials said.
The bus bridge will be in operation between Convention Center and Fruitdale stations for the remainder of the day.
