SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Uber will launch some of its self-driving cars in San Francisco on Wednesday.
The San Francisco-based rideshare company is expanding its pilot program that started in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in September.
Uber won't say how many of its self-driving Volvo luxury SUV's will be on the roads.
An Uber employee will still be behind the wheel, to take over if the technology fails.
If you request an Uber, you might be matched with a self-driving car, but you can opt out if you prefer a human driver.
