LAKE COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - As of Monday morning, the Valley Fire in Lake, Napa and Sonoma counties had grown to 75,781 acres and is 70 percent contained.
Cal Fire announced Sunday morning, that the Valley Fire has destroyed over a thousand structures, since it exploded on September 12.
The Valley Fire is now the third worst wildfire in the state's history. It's still threatening 6,563 homes.
As of Sunday morning, mandatory evacuations remained in effect on a stretch of Butts Canyon Road, from Napa County to Lake County. The communities of Cobb, Seigler Canyon, Loch Lomond and Hidden Valley Lake are also off limits.
