VIDEO: Light show at Salesforce Tower, tallest building west of the Mississippi
SAN FRANCISCO - The bright lights at the top of the new Salesforce building in San Francisco were switched on again, for the second night in a row.
But on Wednesday night, Mother Nature cooperated, with the lights flashing “Day One” to celebrate the first night they could actually be seen.
There are 11,000 colored lights at the top of the building, but they were very hard to see during the grand opening on Tuesday due to all the fog. San Francisco artist Jim Campbell created the light display, which features moving images from photos taken around the city. In another display, the silhouettes of women dancing created an awe-inspiring performance.
The Salesforce tower is 1,070 feet high, the tallest office building west of the Mississippi. %INLINE%
