WATCH: Bear steals bird feeder

GOFFSTOWN, New Hampshire -  A black bear is caught red-handed trying to a steal a bird feeder in Goffstown, New Hampshire.

Jason Alexander shot video of the bear running off with the feeder as it tried to eat the seeds inside.

But after a mild scolding from the homeowner, the bear dropped the feeder.

The homeowner says the bear stood motionless for awhile but eventually snacked on some seeds in the driveway.

Wildlife officials say the lack of rain in the area has led to a poor berry crop.

Many hungry bears are turning to bird feeders and trash cans for food.
