Watch: Mike Myers plays Elon Musk in SNL Trump-Zelenskyy cold open
World leaders react to Trump-Zelenskyy meeting
Many world leaders are reacting to President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's heated meeting in the Oval Office Friday, with several European leaders reaffirming their 'unwavering' support for Ukraine. LiveNOW's Austin Westfall discusses the latest with national security analyst Hal Kempfer.
Mike Myers made a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, playing Elon Musk in a spoof about the contentious White House meeting with President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The skit starts off with opening credits describing a historic meeting between the leaders on Friday.
"And it went really really well," the opening credits read. "Everyone who watched felt at ease and thought, ‘The world is now a safer place.’"

From there, Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, introduces himself.
"It is I, president and CEO of Gaza Hotel and Casino, Donald Trump," Johnson (Trump) says in the spoof. "And I’d like to welcome President Zelenskyy here to this incredible trap. It’s going to be a big beautiful trap and we’re going to attack him here very soon for no reason, right JD?"
"Watch out, ‘cause this kitty’s got claws," responds Bowen Yang, who plays Vance in the skit.

In the skit, Trump calls on "Little Marco," a reference to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and asks, "Are you excited to attack our American ally?"
"No inglais," responds a horrified Marcello Hernández, who plays Rubio.
"President Zelenskyy, you want to say a few words? Maybe tell Mr. Putin how much you love him and that you’re sorry you invaded Russia? Maybe offer him one night with your wife?" Johnson (Trump) continues.
The SNL cast also highlighted the irony of a reporter calling out Zelenskyy for not wearing a suit in the Oval Office by having Mike Myers appear as Elon Musk, wearing a T-shirt and carrying the chainsaw he used at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference.

"You’re not even wearing a suit. It’s disrespectful," Johnson (Trump) says. "Who shows up to the White House in a T-shirt and jeans like a garbage person."
That’s when Myers, playing Musk, shows up in a T-shirt and jeans, revving the symbolic chainsaw he used to show how his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is slashing government spending.
"Elon, we love your outfit, very official and respectful," Johnson (Trump) says.
"Uh, thanks," Myers (Musk) responds. "Donald, what are you doing in my office?"

What really happened during the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting?
The backstory:
The extraordinary meeting started off cordially enough, as Trump and Zelenskyy spoke politely, even with admiration, of one another for the first half-hour of the meeting.
But when the Ukrainian leader raised alarm about trusting any promises from Russia’s Vladimir Putin to end the fighting, Vance rebuked him for airing disagreements with Trump in public. It instantly shifted the tenor of the conversation. Zelenskyy grew defensive, and Trump and his vice president blasted him as ungrateful and "disrespectful" and issued stark warnings about future American support.
"What kind of diplomacy, JD, you are speaking about?" Zelenskyy said, listing Russia’s past violations of ceasefires. "What do you mean?"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the White House Friday for a high-stakes meeting with President Donald Trump, as he tries to persuade the White House to provide some form of U.S. backing for Ukraine's security against any future Russian aggression.
"I’m talking about the kind of diplomacy that’s going to end the destruction of your country," Vance responded before tearing into the Ukrainian leader. "Mr. President, with respect, I think it’s disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media."
Trump then let loose, warning the Ukrainian leader, "You’re gambling with World War III, and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country that’s backed you far more than a lot of people say they should have."
"You see the hatred he’s got for Putin," Trump said. "That’s very tough for me to make a deal with that kind of hate."
"It’s going to be a very hard thing to do business like this," Trump said to Zelenskyy as the two leaders talked over each other.
Sources close to Zelenskyy told Fox News Digital that tempers had flared even before the event began. The Ukrainian president was apparently presented with a minerals for security agreement by the Trump administration prior to the press event, but the deal included no security guarantees to protect Ukraine from another Russian invasion.
Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House, and no minerals deal was signed.
