West Portal: Vehicle plows into Walgreens in San Francisco
Two people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a Walgreens store in San Francisco on Wednesday morning, KTVU has confirmed.
The crash happened at 200 West Portal Avenue. One person inside the Walgreens was hurt while another inside the vehicle was also injured, the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed to KTVU. SFFD says an elderly driver was behind the wheel of the vehicle when it crashed.
The Walgreens will now be closed temporarily due to the crash, SFFD says.
This crash took place just two blocks away from the deadly West Portal crash that took place in March.
West Portal has been the focus of pedestrian and vehicle safety for months after a woman plowed her vehicle into a bus stop at the corner of Ulloa Avenue and Lenox Way, killing a family of four.
