FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KTVU) - Police have arrested a woman who was caught on video violently throwing a pug to the ground. Brandi Chin faces felony animal cruelty charges and is now being held at the Solano county jail. Fairfield police arrested her on Wednesday.
Investigators had been searching for Chin since the disturbing surveillance video surfaced in December. Chin is seen in the footage hurling the dog named Benny by his front legs onto the pavement, causing the animal to roll several times.
Chin was reportedly fighting with her ex-boyfriend, who is also seen in the video, picking up the dog.
Benny is now in the hands of the Solano County Human Animal Services. He’s said to be in good health.
