Woman killed in hit-and-run in Antioch

A woman was killed in Antioch Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run collision, and police are searching for the driver.

Police responded to the 3000 block of Wilbur Avenue around 6:10 p.m. over reports of a hit-and-run. Witnesses told police a car struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. 

Officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and found the woman lying unresponsive on the ground. She was declared dead at the scene.

Hit-and-run kills 2 brothers, ages 12 and 13 in Antioch

An overnight crash in Antioch has left two children dead and the driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene, police said. The two children were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

Traffic accident investigators are working the case, and officials said identities are not being released at this time.

What we don't know:

Police did not share a description of the suspect car in the fatal crash. The identity and age of the victim are also unknown at this time.
