Woman killed, two others hurt in Santa Clara Crash
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU) - Santa Clara Police confirm a woman died in a traffic collision near Levi's Stadium Sunday evening.
Around 5:45PM, Santa Clara Police responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Tasman Dr. and Lick Mill Blvd.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a sedan and truck had collided.
Officers pronounced the female driver of the sedan deceased at the scene. She was the only person in the vehicle.
Two other males in the truck were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash forced VTA to shut off electricity to a portion of its Mountain View Winchester light-rail line.
VTA is operating a bus bridge in between Baypointe and Great America stations. Trains are also turning around at these stations.
Santa Clara Police are investigating the cause of the crash, and the intersection will remain shut down throughout the night.
