Woman's body found in Bay near San Francisco's Pier 43
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) Police are investigating after a body was found Saturday morning in San Francisco Bay near Pier 43, police said.
The body, described only as female, was reported in the water about 7:10 a.m., according to San Francisco police. Officer Adam Lobsinger said someone spotted the body and called authorities.
The San Francisco Medical Examiner took custody of the body to determine the woman's identity, cause of death and how long she was in the water.
No information on whether foul play is suspected was released.
