Woman's body found in Oakland's Arroyo Viejo Creek Park, witness and police say

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland police on Thursday were called out to investigate a body found at Arroyo Viejo Creek Park.

Crews from the Public Works Department found the woman's body in the creek about 9:15 a.m. 

There were no obvious signs of homicide, but detectives weren't taking any chances, she said. For now, police are considering it a "suspicious death."
