Hundreds gathered for a long held tradition on the UC Berkeley campus honoring African American graduates from across the campus, from all levels of study for a collective celebration known as Black Graduation. It’s a culturally rich event lauded by many as a necessary and deserving commemoration, while it also drew backlash from those who said it was discriminatory against other races.
