Chiquita ordered to pay families victimized in Colombia Civil War

A Florida jury has ordered Chiquita Brands International to pay $38.3 million to 16 families of people killed by Colombian paramilitaries, marking the first time the company has been held liable in U.S. courts for funding the violent group to protect its operations.
