New proposals to protect the wilderness at National Parks
The National Park Service is taking public feedback right now about new draft guidelines that would put restrictions on recreation at national parks anchors such as rock climbing or ice climbing used for those sports. The Park Service says these proposals are aimed at protecting and preserving the wilderness. But adventurers fear that eventually they will be banned from climbing famous sites such as El Capitan.
