Mosquito Fire explodes, one of 17 wildfires burning in California

With 17 wildfires buring around the state. Calfire has it's hands full and the fires keep coming. We've had ten new wilfires week alone, with the MisquitoFire the biggest. The still out of control Mosquito is in high mountains, rossing from one county to another, with western Lake Tahoe 40 miles ahead of it.

Mountain Fire in Siskiyou County grows to over 10,000 acres

Fire crews are battling the quick moving Mountain Fire in Siskiyou County. According to Cal Fire, the blaze has burned 10,338 acres and is 10-percent contained. Hundreds of people have been forced to evacuate and hundreds of structures remain threatened.

Mill Fire now 40% contained, has killed 2 people, burned 100 homes

Two people have died in the Mill Fire according to Cal Fire. Officials say at least 100 homes were destroyed by the fire in Siskiyou County and hundreds more remain threatened. The fire started just before 1 p.m. Friday at a building next a lumber mill, so far it has burned six and a half acres and is 40-percent contained. 

Mill Fire kills 2 people, destroys dozens of homes

Cal Fire says at least 50 homes were destroyed by the Mill Fire in Siskiyou County and hundreds more remain threatened. The fire started just before 1 p.m. Friday at a building next a lumber mill, so far it has burned over 4,000 acres and is 25-percent contained.
