Former DC archbishop Theodore McCarrick pleads not guilty to sex assault

Former Roman Catholic Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the once-powerful prelate who was expelled from the priesthood for sexual abuse, pleaded not guilty Friday to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy during a wedding reception in Massachusetts nearly 50 years ago. 

Actor 'appalled' at Chinatown attacks; DA charges 2 suspects

Actor and director Daniel Wu, who grew up in Oakland, spoke out against crime in Chinatown on Monday, saying he was appalled at the recent crimes against Asians in the Bay Area. At the same time, the District Attorney announced charges against the suspect in one of the recent crimes against a 91-year-old man, which hit close to home for Wu.
