September 21, 2022 marks Black women's equal pay day--an observance of the additional nearly nine months, on average, it takes Black women to make the same amount as their white male counterparts. The day highlights the gender and racial wage pay gap.

In the season finale of "Voices for Change," we discuss diversity in football coaching with San Jose State football coach Alonzo Carter. His weekly Zoom calls have encouraged and inspired minority coaches around the country. We'll also speak with the producer of the groundbreaking film "Prey" about its indigenous representation. And a conversation with a non-profit working to increase the number of Black pilots in the commercial industry.

Science in the City

In this Voices for Change segment, we speak to Kevin Nichols, CEO of The Social Engineering Project. The nonprofit is teaming up again with Stanford Linear Accelerator National Lab to host "Science in the City." The week-long camp introduces underrepresented middle school students of color to careers in STEM.
