Bay Area rains: Trouble everywhere

Torrential rains struck all over the Bay Area, creating all kinds of havoc, especially with traffic and trees, faster than first responders were comfortable with. We spent a long day on the roads, finding trouble almost everywhere. It was a tour of the Bay in disaster mode.

Election error in Alameda County names new winner in District 4 race

A stunning twist in the Oakland School Board race. Mike Hutchinson – who thought he lost his race in District 4 - actually won. The Alameda County Registrar of Voters revealed an error in the tabulation process that would have moved Hutchinson from third place to first. 

San Leandro shakes in 2.9 earthquake

An earthquake shook San Leandro Wednesday morning. This comes after the 6.4 quake struck further north in Ferndale on Tuesday.

San Leandro crash leaves dirt bike driver dead

Police say they arrived on the scene near Washington Ave. and Castro St. shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Investigators say they found a 25-year-old male with significant injuries and transported him to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Shooting on I-880 near San Leandro leaves 2 injured

California Highway Patrol said a shooting on Interstate 880 Saturday night left two people injured. A preliminary investigation showed that occupants in two vehicles were shooting at each other, officials said.
