A suspect in the holdup of a Brentwood cell phone store led police on a chase through Oakley and Antioch before crashing Friday morning.

City of Oakley announced the remains of Alexis Gabe have been found. Officials said a resident of Plymouth in Amador County found what they thought to be human remains on Thursday afternoon. The remains have been positively identified.

The bones found by volunteers looking for Alexis Gabe came from an animal, not the missing Oakley woman, authorities said.

The family of Alexis Gabe said they believe her bones were found in Pioneer, Calif., about 60 miles southeast of Sacramento.
