Judge orders hundreds more San Jose police officer racist texts released

A federal judge has ordered the release of a second batch of texts from a former San Jose police officer, revealing hundreds more racist and homophobic messages over a two-month period, showing the ex-cop's disrespect of Black, Asian and gay people, as well as women and people with mental disabilities. 

German shepherd shot through her snout in San Jose

A German shepherd survived being shot through her snout in San Jose. The 10-month-old dog's jaw was shattered by a single bullet that went through her paw and exited her body, animal care and services officials say. 

2 children die in multi-vehicle crash in South Bay

Two children died in a crash involving multiple vehicles on state Highway 152 east of Gilroy in Santa Clara County on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
