Lucky winners in San Francisco treasure hunt find rare coins worth $25,000

All day long on Sunday, crowds of people searched around San Francisco, looking for valuable, rare coins. It was part of the second annual scavenger hunt created by Seth Chandler, coin collector and owner of Witter Coin in the Marina District. He gave away coins worth a total of $25,000.

A warmer stretch is on the way

The spring storm is behind us with dry, warmer weather on the way for Monday. Partly cloudy, patchy fog and chilly temperatures will begin the day, followed by a notable jump in afternoon. Highs will range from low 60s at the coast to low 70s inland under mostly sunny skies.

Cloudy, soggy

Today starts off cool, cloudy, and soggy. By afternoon the wet weather eases up under mostly cloudy skies and temperatures below average. Dry, much warmer weather returns for the start of the week.

Sunday clouds

The clouds will stick around through Sunday. There is still the slight chance of a shower during the morning hours. We are expecting more sunshine and warmer temperatures next week. The warmest inland areas could approach the mid 80s by Tuesday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! -Mark
