Cool and breezy today

After bringing less than a 10th of an inch of rain to parts of the Bay Area, the weekend winter storm is moving out leaving behind cool, breezy conditions for Sunday. Afternoon highs will range from the mid to upper 50s. Cold overnight lows can be expected tomorrow morning with a Freeze Watch slated for much of the Bay Area.

Cold storm bringing unsettled weather

Bundle up everyone, a cold storm will drop our temperatures, kick up the wind in our hills and bring a few showers between now and Sunday. A Wind Advisory is in place for our North Bay Hills until 10 AM Sunday. A Freeze Watch for Bay and Inland begins late tonight. A Winter Weather Advisory for the West Slope and Greater Lake Tahoe Area is in effect until 4 PM Sunday.

Sonoma State kills athletic department, some education programs

Facing a $24 million budget deficit, Sonoma State University is ending all eleven of its sports programs and cutting out or rolling back other programs and people, and on Friday, meetings were held on campus where students and instructors vented their angst and anger.
