Chance of late day showers

It's a partly cloudy, cooler start to the day with scattered showers arriving late afternoon into tonight. Scattered showers continue into early Tuesday before mainly dry weather takes over for the rest of the week.

The latest Atmospheric River is now history. Another system will approach the Bay Area Sunday. Partly cloudy skies are expected during the morning hours. Clouds will be increasing later in the day. Scattered showers will develop during the afternoon. The rain could linger into Monday.

Morning showers taper off to mainly dry today

Morning showers will taper off to mainly dry weather this afternoon. Low lying flooding is still a possibility in Sonoma County with a Flood Advisory until 3:15p today. Minor to moderate flooding also can be expected at the Russian River at Johnsons Beach at Guerneville with a Flood Warning until early Sunday morning. Have a safe day!

Atmospheric River will soon be history

The heavy rain from Friday is expected to move out of the Bay Area. Showers are still expected Saturday morning. A sun - cloud mix should settle in during the afternoon hours. Another system will bump up our shower chances by Sunday afternoon. In the Sierra, Winter Storm Warnings are in place through Tuesday afternoon. Have a great weekend. -Mark

Stalled rain band finally moves south Friday

Heavy rain continues to be focused up in parts of the Bay Area. The band of heavy rain will finally make its journey to the south Friday. You can expect moderate to heavy rain in the Friday forecast. Winds could approach 45 mph. There is also the chance of a thunderstorm. Rain will continue into Saturday morning. Another system will boost rain chances Sunday. Be careful on the roads! -Mark
