May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. While clinical depression is less common in older adults, depressive symptoms affect up to 25% of the geriatric population. Dr. Drew Maygren, who is a geriatric psychiatrist at Kaiser Permanente's Oakland Medical Center, has insight into what triggers this population, and ways to cope.
