Bay Area theater director perservering with ALS

East Bay theater director Erin Merritt is living with the debilitating effects of ALS, the degenerative nervous system disorder also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Even though she struggles to communicate and has lost the ability to speak, she is still directing a play called Tea Party, which premiered in San Francisco last weekend. KTVU's Alex Savidge spoke with Merritt about her project with the help of her longtime friend and producer Deb Fink.
