Oakland mayor responds to concerns about teachers strike and public safety

Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao spoke to KTVU about the possibility that her city's public school teachers would strike this week as well as concerns about crime and safety as she proposed a hiring freeze for the police department to help address her administration's historic budget deficit.
