Santa Rosa is the largest city in the North Bay and the fifth largest in the Bay Area with 170,000 residents. The city has been hit hard twice by earthquakes. But in rebuilding it has become a hub for tourists exploring nearby Wine Country while becoming a destination in its own right for the famous Russian River Brewery's specialty beer.
