Motorcycle crash safety awareness

With an average of 13,000 motorcycle crashes each year in California, knowing how to respond in such an incident can be a matter of life or death. Rick O'Connell, a nurse at San Jose's Regional Medical Center, helped organize an event on Sunday at the Regional Medical Center to help teach the public on what they can do. The Medical Center's trauma department taught participants about scene safety and how to stop the bleeding until emergency personnel arrive on scene.
