Alcatraz marks 50 years as a National Park

For nearly 30 years, Alcatraz operated as a prison in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. It closed back in 1963 and 10 years later became a national park. Alcatraz Island is marking its 50th anniversary as a national park site. Alcatraz historian Jolene Babyak, who lived on Alcatraz as a child joined us to talk about her experience.
