76-year-old granted parole under California elderly people law

Walter Joseph Lewis, a convicted 2-time murderer, is set to be released on parole under the California Elderly Parole Law. Lewis, who brutally stabbed a man to death when he was 18 and later used a hammer to attack and kill Robert Chartier in 1979 in San Diego, had previously served 13 and a half years for his first crime.
