Thieves steal valuable bonsai trees from Oakland Lake Merritt garden

Tiny trees valued at more than $20,000 were stolen from the Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt. Whoever stole them had to penetrate two fences and dodged surveillance cameras. The garden is staffed by volunteers.
