FBI, DHS issue warning that terror groups may target Pride events
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have issued a warning involving June's Pride Month celebrations nationwide. Federal agents say foreign terrorist groups may attempt to target pride parades and other events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. The warning does not specifically mention Bay Area pride events, but the FBI is concerned that ISIS may now be planning an attack on U.S. soil. We talked with retired police chief, Tommy Tunson, about gauging credible threats, and the measures law enforcement takes to ensure the safety of those attending.
