Popular weight loss, diabetes drugs potentially linked to blindness

Researchers at Harvard Medical School say they've found a potential link between drugs meant for weight loss and diabetes, and a rare eye condition that could cause blindness. Scientists went through more than 17,000 records collected over six years, since drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy hit the market. They found that those who took the drugs were at a much higher risk of developing the disease. We talked with Dr. Nisha Patel, an obesity specialist with Sutter Health, for more insight.
