New COVID variant spreading nationwide
COVID is surging this summer with new cases spiking across the country. According to the CDC, at least seven states are seeing very high levels of COVID, including California. We spoke with Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease specialist at UCSF, about the new, highly transmissible variant called, "Flirt," which is responsible for more than half of all new cases.
