Two dead in separate Oakland shootings, police investigating | KTVU

Two people are dead after separate shootings in Oakland on Thursday, the Oakland Police Department confirmed to KTVU. City officials are holding a town hall on public safety Friday at 5:30 at Beth Eden Baptist Church. Mayor Thao, Oakland Police Chief Floyd Mitchell, the city administrator, the fire chief, and the head of the Department of Violence Prevention will be in attendance to discuss the latest strategies to fight crime.
