New film chronicles Japanese-Americans' experience during WWII
In the wake of the Pearl Harbor attack, America faced a painful decision that led to one of its darkest hours: the internment of Japanese-Americans. The film 'Kintsukuroi' explores this tragic chapter at the start of World War II, following the lives of those affected by fear and prejudice. David Kiyoshi Tom, an actor in the film, joined us on 'The Nine' to discuss the importance of remembering and acknowledging this history, as well as to share his family's own experience in internment camps.
