New Pittsburg facility fights methane greenhouse gas escaping landfills

The biggest natural gas recycling plant in California was dedicated at a landfill in the Pittsburg on Oct. 2, 2024. Just behind transportation and industry, methane from landfills is the third-largest source of greenhouse gases in the United States and most of it leaks into the atmosphere, aggravating global warming.  Tom Vacar reports.
