No homicides in Oakland for more than 6 weeks; credit given to ceasefire strategy and community cooperation

Police say for the first time since 2015, there were no homicides in Oakland for a period of over six weeks. Police and the mayor's office credit the Department of Violence Prevention, ceasefire strategy and community cooperation.
