An 18-year-old Santa Clara University student was waiting in the median to walk his bicycle across the street along busy El Camino Real on his way to class when a car struck a tree. The impact caused the tree to go airborne and struck the student in the head. His devastated father wants traffic safety improvements in the area, including lowering the speed limit.
