SF Mayor, police chief announce reforms to reduce officer-involved shootings; rebuild trust

Police training will now emphasize the need for time, distance and de-escalation in dealing with armed suspects in an effort to avoid officer-involved shootings like that one that killed Mario Woods in December, San Francisco police and city officials said today.
