School’s Indian mascot unanimously banned in Napa
State law since 2015 bans racial imagery in school sports. At one Napa school an Indian mascot has been a 120 year tradition. But on Thursday night, a unanimous school-board vote banned the mascot because it is racially insensitive and against state law.
