Oakland fights racism with 'Grill Your Government' BBQ at Lake Merritt

Ever since a woman called police on an African-American family using a charcoal grill in a non-designated spot at Lake Merritt, the community has risen up with dance parties and a protest where the activists are asked to wear “cookout clothes” to show that it's not a crime to "BBQ while Black."
